JOB SUMMARY:
The Plant Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of production robots and associated equipment. Periodic travel to our regional facilities maybe required.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):
•Help maintain automation production at stated production standards
•Program new jobs into forge loaders and bin pickers as needed
•Assist in inventory control (parts/usage)
•Periodic maintenance of robots
•Maintain housekeeping of robotic cells
•Assist in the training of personnel on proper robotic operation and practices
•Repair/troubleshoot robotic components
•Maintain safety processes, procedures and functions
•Assist in automation project installations
•Assist with developing standard troubleshooting procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Mandatory completion of a FANUC certified holding course(32 hours of instruction)
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
•Ability to use and navigate Infor software
•Ability to lift 50 pounds
•Ability to work overtime and/or be on-call for emergency services
•Ability to troubleshoot with or without direct support
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
