JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Administrator provides general Human Resources support to the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for administering policies, procedures, and programs relating to all aspects of human resource activity; assures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as regulations from other applicable agencies, and assists the Human Resources Manager with recruitment, record maintenance, and providing HR support to all employees.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive)
• Assist all site employees with HRIS/payroll system issues, such as attendance, vacation, and time cards.
• Accurately maintain hourly employee information in the HRIS database and personnel files, to include new hires, status changes, performance management, training, terminations, and worker’s compensation.
• Conduct hourly recruiting activities and new hire orientations; process information as needed into the HRIS; maintain recruitment files.
• Administers the unemployment process by providing vendor with necessary information and backup documentation regarding employee separation.
• Responds to general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, timecards, etc. from employees and leadership at various levels of the organization.
• Function as a point of contact for hourly employees, responding to all questions and requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains visibility and accessibility on the plant floor.
• Must maintain confidentiality and be a trusted resource.
• Clerical duties, including processing department mail, filing, order employee uniforms, and generating reports as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
• Minimum one year of previous Human Resources experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for effective interface throughout all levels of the organization, as well as external contacts.
• Computer skills to include MS Office, IBM Notes, and excellent HRIS knowledge (Paylocity preferred).
• Demonstrated multi-tasking abilities in a fast paced environment.
• As comfortable on the plant floor as in the office.
• Ability to work with confidential data of major importance such as company plans and programs, and sensitive employee information.
